Non-Reflective Triptych, frameless
This triptych was created from a 42x28" file, divided into two 12.75" side prints and a center print that was 16.5" wide. All were 28" high. The prints were mounted on acid-free foamcore, then strips of foamcore were glued onto the backs all the way around. Then wood strips were glued on top of the foamcore strips, creating a frame. The sides were covered with photo paper printed with a color that matched a darker color from the file. This was sprayed with a protective coating to make it light and environmentally stable. It was hung as depicted in the photo. The advantage is that there was a perfect alignment of each piece with its neighbor. And it was all printable on a 17" printer, avoiding outsourcing of the printing, thus lowering the cost. It looks great!
